After an amateur athletic career that included collegiate All-American honors in football and wrestling, a freestyle wrestling national championship and a Golden Gloves regional championship, Tim embarked on a professional MMA career at the encouragement of his friend and fellow fighter, Eugene Jackson.

Tim has fought all over the world in nearly every major fighting organization, including the UFC, Rings and Pancrase, each time with Eugene in his corner.
